We understand the impact of vulvar disorders and we are here to help.

What to expect from your visit

When you arrive you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding your vulvar condition. It can be helpful to bring all previous prescriptions/topicals that you have used in the past. Once the questionnaire is completed you will meet with Dr. Lefas to discuss your symptoms. Next, you will have an examination. Dr. Lefas as well as a nurse will be present for this examination. This will be an examination of the vulva, vagina, and cervix using a microscope called a colposcope which can help to identify any areas of concern. Often vulvar biopsies are performed. This will be discussed with you in depth should it be felt this would be helpful to arrive at a diagnosis.

Results

Results cannot be provided by nurses/administration staff over the phone. Most results require an in-person visit. Should it be decided that results can be provided over the phone, a telehealth visit will be arranged with Dr. Lefas. Typically biopsy results take 4 weeks to process and longer should they need to be reviewed with a pathologist.
