Dr. Georgia Lefas is a Winnipeg-based gynecologist specializing in vulvovaginal disorders, sexual medicine and lower genital tract disorders.

Dr. Lefas was born and raised in Winnipeg. She completed her Master of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees at the University of Calgary. She then returned home to Winnipeg and completed her residency training at the University of Manitoba in 2016. During this time she served as the program chief resident and was the recipient of numerous awards for outstanding performance. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In 2022, Dr. Lefas completed advanced training in vulvovaginal disorders and sexual medicine at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her training was completed at the The BC Centre for Vulvar Health, which is a centre of excellence for vulvovaginal health and sexual medicine in Canada.

Dr. Lefas is a teacher and mentor in the Manitoba obstetrics and gynecology residency program. She is an active member of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disorders (ISSVD), American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), Canadian Colposcopy Society, World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and Society of Obstetrician and Gynecologists of Canada (SOGC).

She established the HSC Vulvar Health Clinic at HSC Women’s Hospital to provide evidence-based inclusive care to people with vulvas. She feels strongly that a holistic approach to vulvar disorders is imperative to patient well-being. She continues to see general gynecology, cervical dysplasia/colposcopy and obstetrics in her private clinic at Millennium Medical Centre.
